My trip to Himachal Pradesh

, , , , ,

Himachal PradeshHimachal Pradesh is the best place to visit for your honeymoon. Though places like Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Ooty, Kovalam, Darjeeling and more are recommended to visit for honeymoon. We had been to Jammu and Kashmir for a honeymoon in the year 2009. The whole trip was been planned by my wife. Kashmir is no doubt a very beautiful place to visit. You will surely have a different exposure to be at Srinagar, Gulmarg, Sonmarg, Jammu and Patnitop. It was been 3 years after my first trip I will plan for another one.

The New Year had just begun and I was thinking to go on a short trip to Himachal Pradesh. Though January is the time where you can actually see the snowfall and enjoy the climate, I wanted to visit it during the summer i.e. anywhere in April. I searched for the best date and time for the trip. The journey for trip will start from 07th March 2013. We were very much exited to visit the place as this time we had not booked any package tours like for our honeymoon, but are travelling on our own.

I had booked Paschim Express ticket which takes approx 29 hours to reach Kalka

Kalka StationStation which is nearest to Shimla. I had even booked the hotels online for my trip, as I said earlier we were on our own hence had to book everything prior to our trip. We reached Kalka station at 5pm on 8th of March. I had already booked a cab for our Journey hence the car was available near Kalka station at 6 pm and left for hotel we had booked in Shimla. We reached our hotel near The Mall road by 8:30pm. I had booked rooms at very reasonable rates so that I can use that money to explore the places. We went out for dinner out and rested whole night at the hotel.

Day 1 (9th March): So here starts my trip on 09th March from Shimla. As instructed

Air Balloonby my driver we got up at 7 in the morning, had breakfast at the hotel and were ready for the trip which started at 8am. We went to places like Jakhu Temple, Christ Church near Lakkar Bazaar and then later to Kufri. We went at the National Adventure Foundation (NAF) near Kufri which has all kinds of adventurous activities like Paragliding, Hot Air Balloon, Scuba diving, trekking, skiing on water and snow and many more activities. I went for Para Sailing, Rock climbing, Water Rafting and my wife went for Hot Air Balloon and Snow Skiing. It was great fun to be at such an adventurous place.

We left for Himalayan National park at around 1:30pm after having the lunch. We had Yak rides, saw the potato research centre at Kufri and some sightseeing from Kufri. We left early to our hotel as we were tired at the NAF itself due to the adventurous activities and wanted to see the local markets. At evening we went out for some shopping at the market and then had our dinner and went to bed early as had to leave for Manali tomorrow.

Day 2 (10th March): We left Shimla at 8:30am and reached Kullu by 1:30pm as had kullu templevisited Basheshwar Mahadev Temple at Bajaura some 15 kilometers before Kullu. Kullu is also known for its temples apart from hills, Deodar forest and Apple Orchards. We saw Bijli Mahadev temple, Raghunath temple near Sultanpur post office and then MahaDevi Tirth Temple while moving towards Manali. We reached our hotel at Manali by 5pm; the hotel was near Manali Mission Hospital area. We spend one hour in the hotel to get fresh and ready to visit the city and have dinner. At the local market you will get all type of handmade things. Most of the items were Tibetan handicraft items which were reasonable as well as expensive. It was a great experience to be at the local market in Manali. Post shopping we had our dinner and left for the hotel.

Day 3 (11th March): Manali is one of the best hill stations in Himachal Pradesh.

ZorbingMajority of the Indians do plan their trip to Shimla and Manali like I did. In the morning we left to visit temples such as Hidimba Devi temple, some at Nehru Kund, Tibetan monasteries, Arjuna Gufa and then to Naggar Village. Solang Nala Valley is the best place to hang around. It was same as you must have read above for National Adventure Foundation near Kufri. The place has adventurous things like Horse riding, paragliding and the new thing I tried and tested at this place was Zorbing. It was new adventure for me to ride in a plastic ball. It was more than fun for us. We will not forget this Solang Nala Valley ever. Later we winded up at 5pm and left for our hotel.

Day 4 (12th March): We left early morning to Kalka as I had to board a trpinjore gardenain next day morning by 10am. I had booked a hotel at Kalka hence after keeping our bags in the hotel we went for lunch. In the afternoon we went to see Pinjore Garden as per our driver’s information. It is very famous for the Mango mela where different types of mangoes are seen during the season. The garden as well many buildings in Kalka city are built by Mughals. We had a lot of fun at the garden as well as watching the city. Later we had our dinner and left for the hotel.

Day 5 (13th March): We got up at 7am in the morning, had breakfast and by 9 am we were at the Kalka station. I paid the rent of my cab driver and a handsome tip too. The Train was a bit late and hence we arrived late by 1 hour in Mumbai.

This trip was even better for me than a trip to Kashmir and did enjoyed a lot. Also I was very proud of myself as I had planned this successful trip. I hope to visit and explore other places next year as soon as I am able to do some savings.

Fraud alerts: You may be next

, , , , , , ,

I have been offline for quite a long time. There have been anti-phishing activities from past few years and I want people to be aware about such things. I have faced such thing from past few days and want to discuss the same with you.

Recently there was call from one of the associate calling from one of the reputed bank in India. I will like to share the conversation which I had with him over the phone:

Associate: Hi am I speaking to Mr Chintan?
I: Yes you are speaking to Chintan.

Associate: This call is in regards to your xyz bank credit card which you have been using from past few years. As you are aware, that customer’s do receive reward points on your credit card for any purchase done on the card. Now that reward points facility has been stopped by RBI, hence we are closing your old card and re-issuing a new card to you with new limit increase in your credit card. The limit on card will increase by 75% of your current card limit.

I: It’s good that I have received a call regards to rewards facilities which have been stopped but I have not seen such update on Internet from RBI. Usually I use internet 24/7 and got nothing on the same. I still let that person to go ahead and speak as they are from bank and am updated much before the customers are.

Associate: Later he said that he will ask me few details from the card and not CVV and personal details

I: As you want to help the customer’s by sending them the new card, why not call customer and inform that bank will be sending new card to the customer within 15-20 days instead of taking details and wasting time.

Associate: No sir, that’s the formality we have to do on every call to get a confirmation from the customer and inform that the old card will be discontinued till you get the new card. So now can you confirm the expiry date on the card?

I: I was like surprised why the heck you want card expiry date. We are not supposed to give such details to anyone as per RBI and as per your bank policy. But he was not ready to listen, he was still firm on asking the details.

Associate: Sir, you will have to confirm these details as it is on the card and no one can misuse it. Also after the conversation you will get an SMS from the bank as LM-Bank which will confirm that we are not fraud, so please may i have the details of expiry date?

I: was still unsure whether to give it or not as this conversation went for 5 minutes but later he won and i ended up giving expiry date of the card.

Associate: Thanks for the details. Now can i have the valid from date on the card?

Now i was irate as such details are much secured and should not give it to anyone. This time i was rigid on not giving the details and he was firm that will send the Bank SMS after the call which means he is from the bank.

I was still not ready and because of that he was little irritated and speaking again and again that he is from bank and will not take personal details like date of birth, mothers name and address. To which i said that this personal details are not required on the internet to transact but are required for telephonic conversation with the bank. Now he was more irritated and said that this is not a fraud call and can trust him and give the details. I took a chance of asking him, what more details you want to know from me. To which he spilled out that he will ask for Name on the Card, Card number.

Now I was very clear that this is a fraud call and no one will ask for such details, so i stopped him from going ahead and told him that I am feeling that this is a suspicious/fraud call. Instead of disconnecting the line he was still assuring me that it is not a fraud call and gives such details which i denied and later he was tired and disconnected the call.

The very next moment i called up bank and informed them about this call to which they said that i was a fraud call and should not entertain to it. I told the executive to take some actions on them as i have the telephone/ mobile number (9210168761) of that person or firm. Executive said that they have sent the mail to the concerned department and also gave me the email for such phishing mail ( I sent an email to the given email id.

The above call happened on 25th September 2014. Four days later i received one more email from where there was an attachment. The attachment stated that it’s some Security Update and due to such fraud thing, customer needs to upgrade the account by clicking on link When clicked the link it redirected to

Online Fraud

The Page looked much like the ICICI website and you can just input details in the box but cannot click on any buttons or links. I feel its fraud as if it was ICICI then I would have been able to click on other options like, contact us or home page or any other page or at least use virtual keyboard but as you can yourself see that we cannot click on any of the link. I also tried to open the link of but has no information about bank on their site.

I have given all the details to the bank via email and waiting for them to take necessary actions.

So friends please be aware of such fraud activities happening now a day’s across the globe as you may be next. Adhere to the bank’s guidelines and never ever give any details of Credit or Debit card to anyone.

, , , , , , , ,

Motorola is an American telecommunications company providing service across the globe. The company are making cellular phone since 1983. Till date they have launched many products. The recent products launched by the company is Moto X, Moto G in August 2013 and November 2013 respectively. Now they have come up with another new product i.e. Moto E. Both the previous mobiles prices are Rs. 23,999/- (Moto X 16GB) and Rs. 12499/- (Moto G 8GB) which are very expensive for common man, hence Moto E price seems reasonable.

Moto E was launched yesterday with one of the top online mega store Flipkart. Flipkart had kept some offers if you buy the mobile on launch day i.e. Wednesday 14th May 2014. The offers include extra 50% off on a mobile case cover and Transcend 8GB external memory card. The offer also included ebooks with rs.1000 free with the purchase of Moto E mobile.

The mobile is having good features as compared to the other Android phone in that particular range. The phone costs around rs.6999/- which works on both 2G and 3G network. It is a dual sim phone, where sim used in the phone is micro-sim. It is Multitouch touch phone with Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It’s internal memory is of 4GB with 1GB of RAM, also there is an external memory card slot upto 32GB.

The main core feature of the phone is it has Android Kitkat (v4.4.2), Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 chipset and Dual core 1.2 Ghz Cortex A7 processor. There is no intimation about the stand by and talk time life of the battery but it is of 1980 mAh non removable battery and as per Flipkart specifications it gives upto 24 hours of mixed media usage.

The connectivity of data can be done through GPRS, EDGE, Wifi, Bluetooth and USB. The phone is Java enabled phone with HTML browser and GPS installed in it. It also has FM radio and it sounds good with Loudspeaker or earphone with 3.5mm jack slot. The Moto E box includes Handset with non removable battery, charger, headset, QSG and warranty card.

Finally a good decision to buy a Moto E XT 10122 phone which are available in two colours Black and White but might come with few more like Turquoise and Lemon. Alike other mobile phones it gives 1 year manufacturer warranty and 6 months warranty for accessories in the box.

Hope Moto E gets more sales that Moto G. Awaiting for your reviews on the Moto E mobile phone, please do post the same as I am planning to buy it.

New Year 2014 Resolution

, , ,

 Happy New Year 2014
2013 was very imperative year for me; I’ve learned a lot of things from this year. There were many ups and downs in my life this year. Alike other years I too will enjoy this night with full of joy. But what needs to be changed is that I need to plan for my next year. Year 2014, I have to make sure that I should achieve all my targets in life. The targets are not only related to my professional targets but also are related to my personal life too.
Till date, I had not done any planning for my future or the coming year. But from this year, I have planned a lot many things that need to be followed and completed by 2014 year end. I have seen many of my friends who have their resolutions like being fit, early morning exercise, quit smoking, following some diet, drink less or may be quit drinking, Clearing all the remaining debts, do savings and spending time with the family. Most of the vows fail due to lack of planning or lack of will. But this year I am going to stick to my resolutions and follow them as much as possible.
Below is the list of resolution which I am going to follow this year 2014.
Being Positive: This is the most important thing in my life. Like others I too get scared in making some decisions and fall into the thoughts of Negativity. Hence this year I will try to be positive in whatever decision I take, yes off course the good ones and not the bad ones.
Maintain Good Health: This year 2013, I had totally ignored this part and will make sure that I try to lose my weight. The daily schedule should include Jogging, brisk walking, skipping rope exercise and some weight lifting.
Donating: I am planning to help at least one child for education by donating some fund to an Orphanage. Kids in Orphanage do require attention and some money for their studies and daily needs hence I am planning to donate some funds this year.
Being Honest: This is one of the important factors where every human lacks. Though there is always a reason for not being honest but I will try to be honest at my work, with my family and most important to myself.
Family: We are most of the time busy spending 12 to 15 hours of a day, 6 days in a week at work. We do not even think about our family and spend time with them. We do have time for other things but not for our family. We should at least give 20 to 30 days in a year for our family by going out of town or on some tour.
Focus on Work: Another objective to be looked at is work. We need to be more than 100% focused on things where we need to achieve the targets and completing it before deadlines. Try to get as many opportunities you can at work and try to achieve it.
Financial: Apart from the deadlines, families and health we should never forget to accumulate funds for our future. Try to save money for your retirement by investing in insurance companies or equities or mutual funds.
That’s all my friends hope we all stick to the above points and make sure have a healthy and prosperous New Year ahead.
Bye Bye 2013 and a Grand welcome to New Year 2014.

Google Pagerank update 6th December 2013

, ,

The last time Google updated his Page Rank was on 06th February 2013. It has been 9 months there wasn’t any update regarding pagerank. Many of them were under the impression that the PR update might happen on 06th of February 2014.

However what I saw yesterday that Google PR update already happened on 06th of December this year. Page Rank was named after one of the founders of the Google, Larry Page. The counting number and quality links to your website crawled by Googlebot – a web spider, gives a rough idea how imperative your website is. The Page Rank is used to rank a website on the Google search engine result page done by Google web search engine.

Now as the update had been rolled out, I have seen most of the sites who were having a good PR have dropped by 2 ranks i.e. PR 2. There are new sites who have no backlinks and much data but still are having PR 1 or PR 2. According to me, i don’t think that we should much rely on page rank. The reason behind is that i have noticed that blogs having PR 2 or PR 3 have more visitors than blogs having PR5 or PR 6.

How to increase a Page Rank?

Every website in the world today wants to increase their page rank however are lacking some or the other way in increasing it. Below are the points which might help in increasing the page rank like:
1. Good SEO structure
2. Get as many as Dofollow backlinks
3. Update Real and Quality contents
4. Optimize site or blog for search engines
5. Do Guest posting
6. Commenting on blogs
7. Participating in forums
8. Submitting your site to directories
9. Social bookmarking
10. Don’t buy links
11. Internal linking
12. Banner Advertising

So now that you are aware about the Page rank factors, hope to see your site having good PR by next PR update. Also if anyone interested in sharing their experience of their website after the latest PR update on 06th December 2013 then please do this in the comments section below.

Review: "Goliyon ki Rasleela Ram-Leela"

, , , , , , ,

Now it’s a time for a movie review which I saw yesterday at a cinema hall “Goliyon ki Rasleela Ram-Leela”. The movie is directed by Sanjay Leela Bansali (SLB), apart from the direction the movie is produced, music, by SLB. SLB has directed many movies and each one is different from the other.
A film is shot in Gujarat and Udaipur and Film sity . The story is not a new story but it was of an SLB’s effort so it has to be different. The main cast member for the movie are Ranveer Singh as Ram, Deepika Padukone as Leela, Sharad Kelkar as Leela’s brother, Richa Chadda as Raseela – Leela’s sister-in-law, Supriya Pathak as Baa – Leela’s Mother, Gulshan Devaiah as Bhavani – Leela’s cousin, Barkha Bisht as Kesar – Ram’s sister-in-law, Abhimanyu Singh as Ram’s brother and Raza Murad as Sarpanch of the village.
The movie is about the Sanedo and Rajhadi community who are rivals of each other from past 50 decades. Ram is son of the head of Rajhadi community and Leela is daughter of head of Sanedo community. The village not only has the open market of vegetable, groceries, clothing and luxurious things but also has more shops where guns, bullets and knives are sold openly. You will not see both communities talking with words but will see them talking with guns. Ram is out of all this hatred and wants everyone to live in peace.
The movie is nice according to me it has somewhat story as of movies like Ishaqzaade, Qayamat se Qayamat tak. Supriya Pathak has done a superb acting. Almost all the characters have proved themselves by their acting. The music given by Monty Sharma and SLB makes you dance on every song. SLB has proved that he is great masterpiece by making Ranveer and Deepika acting like a matured actor. If it’s SLB the first thing comes to mind is the sets, music and acting of stars.
All in all an amazing movie presented by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and his star cast. Good chemistry between Ranveer and Deepika. The movie has almost crossed rs.14 crore despite of limited release due to controversies. However according to me it’s worth watching Ram-Leela at the theatre or cinemas so that you can feel every beat of the music and songs.
